Go to your local DLTC (Driving Licence Testing Centre) to apply to be tested as a driving Instructor.
- You will need to complete an APPLICATION AND NOTICE I.R.O.
REGISTRATION AS INSTRUCTOR Form R1
(National Road Traffic Act, 1996) - You and your medical practitioner will need to complete a MEDICAL CERTIFICATE
(National Road Traffic Act, 1996) Form MC - Finger print clearance must be submitted.
- Certified copy of identity document and driving licence must be submitted.
- Prescribed fee.
Wait for a letter from the Provincial authorities advising you to book the instructor’s test.
Instructor’s certificates are valid for one year (12 months). It is necessary to re-apply two months before the instructor’s certificate expires.
