Becoming a driving instructor in the Free State:

The client that got a driving school must have a valid Instructors Certificate for operating his/her business.

First of all the client must complete an  Application form  ,with full details,( application forms are available from our office ). Secondly the client go to the nearest Police Station with this completed application form,together with valid ID and driving license,   to apply for there crime report. Client will pay amount ?   at the police station for applying of the  criminal report. The SA Police will take his fingerprints.

Client  must ask the officials at the police station, when  can they come and fetch the criminal report, after that the client will go to a GP doctor for full examination to see if client is fit to operate as  instructor. If the doctor is satisfied he will complete the form MC (7)(2005/11 :MEDICAL CERTIFICATE give it then back to client, then client will go and fetch his crime report from the SA Police station. If the client will operate in the Free State, they will come  back to our office  again with the ID and valid driving card, including  the crime report and medical Certificate documents. If all these  documents are  in order  client will pay R206.00 at Lengau Testing Station. Client will bring proof of payment (The receipt) of R206.00 ,  this document will  be register at our office  then we will make  out a document to the Head Provincial Services for the client to be tested.This office will make copies of all documents.It will be register in a register book, and the original documents will be send by a Supervisor to give it to the Traffic OFFICIAL. WHERE HE WILL PHONE THE CLIENT TO WRITE HIS LEARNERS. If client pass the Learners test the inspector will make an appointment for client to do  driving tests of vehicle. After all these tests is done the traffic inspector  will issue  a letter to the client that he passes all these tests for that code .  Then  client must pay R48.00 at the Testing Station  for the issue of  a certificate. Client will bring the letter from the Inspector that he passes all these tests and 2 ID photos and receipt of R48.00 Certificate  will be issued  to client and its only valued for one year.
